A girl can never have too many nail polishes, and since I haven't counted mine in years then I don't think there is ever a final count of one's nail polish collection. Nail polish is definitely one of those beauty items that I use to express myself the most and tend to experiment with far more than I do with clothes and accessories...maybe. I am pretty predictable when it comes to my style, some might say, but I think my friends and family can agree that they never know which polish I will be wearing next.
I am going to keep a list going of my favorite shades of polish each month to go along with each season, and will be posting photos of some of my favorites that I actually end up wearing and loving throughout the month.
For starters, I am going to share a list of my favorite brands and why they stand out in my collection, and a list of brands I dislike and why I tend to stay away from purchasing them in the future. Also, I will list brands I want to try but just haven't yet. I absolutely love painting my nails and use it almost as a stress relief and a way to express how I feel at the moment, but I definitely have it down to a science and really like the process I have created so I will also be sharing that as well.
My favorite nail polish brands:

The nail polishing process:
1. Apply cuticle remover to your cuticles and let sit for 2-3 minutes, push back cuticles, and wash hands with soap and warm water.
2. Take nail polish remover to remove any previous polish or residue from your nails.
3. Cut nails and file to desired shape.
4. Apply a clear base coat to prevent staining, longer lasting polish, prevent chipping, and allow for smoother application of the shade you choose next. Making sure the base coat dries.
5. Choose a color and apply two coats, or more depending on polish. Making sure to start at bottom of your nail near your cuticle and working your way towards the tip of your nail applying even and smooth strokes. Allow enough time to dry.
6. Apply a clear top coat to ensure your polish doesn't chip, lasts a long time, and remains shiny.
